Who this policy is about
This Privacy Policy describes how Master Endurance Coaching, operated by Julie Knight ("we", "us", "our"), handles personal information you share with us — through our website, contact form, email, or coaching relationship.
Our guiding principle is simple: we collect the minimum we need to help you, we don't sell your data to anyone, and we tell you honestly what we do with it.
What we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
Information you provide directly
Name, email, phone (optional), the goal or message you write into our contact form, timeline details, and — once you become a coaching client — any health, training, or performance information you share so we can coach you well.
Information we collect automatically
Minimal server logs (IP address, browser type, page visited, timestamp) from our hosting provider, used solely for security and site operations. We do not use this to build a behavioral profile or retarget you.
How we use your information
We use what you share with us only to do the work we said we'd do — reply to your inquiry, coach you, invoice you, and communicate about your training. Specifically:
- Reply to your inquiry and schedule conversations
- Build, update, and adjust your personalized training plan
- Review your training data (Garmin, Strava, TrainingPeaks, or similar) when you connect it to our coaching
- Send service emails — billing, scheduling, important plan changes
- Answer questions, provide race strategy, and support your training
- Keep our site secure and prevent fraud or abuse
Third-party services we rely on
We run a small operation on trusted, industry-standard tools. Each has its own privacy policy — we've linked them where they apply.
Vercel
Their privacy policy ↗Hosts our website and runs our contact-form function.
Resend
Their privacy policy ↗Delivers the emails sent from our contact form and other transactional messages.
Sanity
Their privacy policy ↗Content management system where Julie edits site content like testimonials.
Google Workspace
Their privacy policy ↗Julie's day-to-day email provider for replying to inquiries and coaching communication.
Training platforms you connect
When you're a coaching client, you may grant us read access to Strava, Garmin, TrainingPeaks, or similar tools so we can review your training data. Those services have their own privacy policies — you're in control of what you share.
Cookies + analytics
The marketing site uses essential cookies only — things that make the site function. We do not currently run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or invasive session-replay tools. If we add lightweight analytics in the future (for example, Plausible or Vercel Analytics), we'll update this policy and the data remains aggregate and anonymous.
How long we keep your information
Contact form submissions are kept as long as we're in an active conversation with you plus 24 months afterward for context if you come back.
Active coaching client records (training history, notes, communication) are kept for the duration of our coaching relationship plus 36 months after it ends, after which we delete or anonymize them unless we're required by law to keep them longer.
You can ask us to delete your information earlier at any time — see "Your rights" below.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have about you
- Request a copy of it in a portable format
- Correct anything that's inaccurate
- Ask us to delete it
- Opt out of non-essential emails at any time (coaching operations emails will continue while you're a client)
- Close your account and end our relationship at any time
California + EU/UK residents
If you're a California resident under the CCPA/CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of any "sale" or "share" of your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
If you're in the European Union or United Kingdom, the legal basis on which we process your information is either your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) or the performance of our coaching agreement with you. You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page. We'll respond within 30 days.
Security
We protect your information using industry-standard practices: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access control, and regular review of who has access to what. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take the duty seriously and will notify affected individuals promptly if we ever have reason to believe data has been compromised.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page as our practices evolve. When we make material changes, we'll post them here with a new "Last updated" date. For substantive changes affecting how we use your data, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active clients by email.
Contact
